After sixty seven minutes and thirty four seconds of energy sapping football our lads had to walk away with the rod and line as the hook and fish got away with no time left to re-worm. It's easy to write these notes if you are commenting on victory. Our lot on Sunday was to sum it up - Victory on the field and loss on the scoreboard. To our supporters as you read these notes we say thanks for coming and do the same again next weekend against Gortletteragh in our third game of the first round. Everyone now knows the capability of this young talented team of ours. I won't mention any names of who played well etc. as I don't think any of them gave less than 100%. It was a spirited full team effort. The lads themselves will get great heart from this performance and the game against Gortletteragh should be a great game as there is very little between all four teams in the group. At this point we wish Nick O'Donoghue a speedy recovery from his prolonged leg injury. He togged out with the panel on Sunday evening and was later to enter hospital as his injury surfaced to require immediate medical attention. Sorry if these notes are a bit gloomy this week but with your loyalty and support we will have happier days to come. Congrats to Allen Gaels and here's hoping to meet you again in the Championship.
