Kiltubrid's senior team ended their romance with the Leitrim Senior Championship last Sunday in Carrick. Indeed it was a romance that at times threatened t o turn to true love but the County Champions put a stop to that. Aughavas gave us a sharp football lesson, and I'm sure it will not be lost on this mighty young team. this Kiltubrid team have gone further than any other team from the parish in Senior football and played with great skill and dash in all their games, and knocking out big guns like St. Caillins and Gortletteragh on the way to the quarter final. At this point the panel of players and management would like to thank the people of the parish and beyond for their great support they gave the team and in all our games, and it was great to see so many green and red flags out all over the parish. Please remember the same supporters will be vital to us in our remaining league games. It's important that everyone keeps their heads held high, remember the parish lost more than a football match last Sunday, so lets remember what is really important in life.
