Drumcong encountered their toughest opposition yet when they faced Manorhamilton in Manorhamilton on Thursday May 2nd. Aoife Mc Weeney opened the scoring with a good point, followed by a quick reply from the opposition. Tara Evans and Kathy Beirne played great at mid-field also Clodagh and Nicole in the forwards. Tara scored a free, and with more points from Aoife & Tara it was 0-5 to 0-4 in favour of Drumcong at half time. After the break Drumcong went further ahead with two goals from Sinead Tighe and 1-3 from Aoife. Magthel and the backs were also busy with a few excellent saves and clearances. Manorhamilton kept in touch with 1-4. All 11 players played their part in a good win. Drumcong now play Kinlough in their next match next week.
