the report:

For the first time ever Kiltubrid opened their Championship campaign on home ground. The team however didn't take immediate advantage and started sluggishly. After 3 wides and 5 minutes of play Conor Doherty registered Kiltubrid's first point from a free. Kiltubrid had 3 more wides to Fenaghs 1 over the the next 10 minutes. The famine ended with another point from a free scored by Doherty. Karol Scollan got on to the score board with a fine long range free followed by another Doherty free. Fenagh registered their only score this half with a point after 21 minutes. Kiltubrid finished strong with points from James Gill, Micheal Earley, Conor Doherty and Dara McKiernan. The first score in the second half was Kiltubrid's with a Conor Doherty free. A strong start from Kiltubrid was an indication of the ways things were going. Fenagh were visibally weaker and Kiltubrids lads took full advantage by running up a another 3 goals and 14 points to Fenaghs 2 points.
