 the report:

Kiltubrid's Dara McKiernan opended the game with a point within the first minute with Cloone replying shortly afterwards. Two more points were swapped, then Cloone took the lead after 9 minutes by 1 point. This was short lived with points from James Gill (free) and Shane Foley and followed up 3 minutes later with a excellent goal from Karol Scollan. Cloone replied with 1 point and a well engineered goal. Dara McKiernan then scored a fine goal which gave Kiltubrid a 4 point advantage which was reduced by 1 point as Cloone got the last score of the half. The second half saw a tough battle with Cloone opening the scoring with one point. After 6 minutes Kiltubrids left corner back Brian McKiernan scored a well crafted point. Cloone replied with a point which was then cancelled out by a John Paul O'Donoghue free. Cloone added a further point but a quality goal by John Paul O'Donoghue, with only the keeper to beat, sealed the game for Kiltubrid. In a very tense finish Kiltubrid held off Cloones scoring attempts allowing them only 1 point.
