Heavy rain & wind made it difficult to play football but both teams served up a great final. Drumcong won by a single point 3-1 to 3-0. Christine Gill received the cup as mini-sevens captain. On Saturday May 23rd the Drumcong girls travelled to Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, to represent Leitrim in the Connaught mini-sevens regional festival. All ten girls got a chance to display their skills and a great day was had by all. As a result of their performances on the day two players have been chosen to represent Connaught in the half-time exhibition game, at the All-Ireland semi-final in Croke Park on August 31st 2003. They are Aoife McWeeney & Aine Tighe. Congratulations and best of luck girls.
