Kiltubrid opened the scoring with a point from Lisa,but our lead was short-lived as Bornacoola responded with a goal and added 4 further points.Kitubrid kept in the game with two Regina Bohan points, to leave the half time score 1-4 to 0-3 in favour of Bornacoola. Rosie replaced an injured Claire Judge early n the game. The second half was a different story, as Kiltubrid started playing much better football, knowing what they had to do. Siobhain found the net at a crucial stage and after a point from Captain Emer Horan the teams were level.Bornacoola got another point to put them back in front.After the introduction of our young talented Aoife McWeeney,Regina Bohan converted two more frees.Siobhain put over another point to leave Kiltubrid two points ahead.Helen Tighe added another point,but Bornacoola fought back with a last point to leave the final score 1-8 to 1-6.Shelia was outstanding in goals, making numerous great saves.Great praise must also go to our backs who made some excellent blocks + defended well at all times in the game.Our mid-fielders worked tirelessly throughout the game,giving good supply to the forwards,all of whom scored.County Chairperson Mary Shanley presented a beautiful new cup to Captain fantastic Emer Horan!!Thanks to all who came out to support the team.Thanks to Gerties,for the delicious meal afterwards.A great night was had by all!
