Give Something Back:
On this Sunday 12th October, in St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford there is an afternoon of prayer to thank God for our Priests, starting at 2:45 and includes Mass and Benediction. Our Priests are always at our beck and call ministering to young and old and their workload is heavy and even at times stressful, they need our prayers every day and this afternoon of prayer will show our solidarity and concern for them.
We can give something back. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the local hall, beside the Cathedral.
Eucharist Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration takes place in St Brigids Church on Tuesday from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 6.00pm to 10.00pm. A Holy Hour with the Rosary takes place in St Josephs Church, Rantogue each Wednesday from 8.00 – 9.00 pm.

St Bridgids Church Of Ireland Harvest Festival:
The Church Of Ireland Community are holding a Harvest Thanksgiving Festival Service in the recently restored Church of Ireland , Drumcong on this Sunday evening the 12th of October at 7 pm. All parishioner’s and friends from adjoining parishes are invited to come along.
Every day I need you Lord, but this day especially,
I need some extra strength to face what ever is to come.
This day, more than any other day I need to feel you near….
To fortify my courage and to overcome my fear.
By myself, I cannot meet the challenge of the hour….
How much frail human creatures need a Higher Power sustaining them in all that life may bring.
And so, dear Lord, hold my trembling hand…
Be with me, Lord, this day, to know your guiding hand at work in all,
to know your Blessed Presence.
