Feast Of All Saints:  Saturday 1st November is the Feast of All Saints. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. Sunday 2nd November is the Feast of All Souls.

 

Death:  Your prayers are requested for the happy repose of the souls of Mary Rodohan, Aughaslane & Michael McGrath, Granemore, Co Armagh (Sister of Mrs Annie Tighe, Leitrim Hill) who died during the week. RIP

 

To gain Indulgences for The Holy Souls:  From 12 noon on the 1st November until midnight on 2nd November all who have confessed, received Holy Communion, and prayed for the Popes intentions (one our Father and a Hail Mary, or any other prayer of ones choice) can gain one plenary indulgence by visiting a Church or oratory, and there reciting one our Father and the Apostles Creed. This indulgence is applicable only to the Souls of the Departed. Confessions may be made at any time within the week preceding or the week following 1st November. Holy Communion may be received on any day from 1st November to 8th November. For every other visit to a Church made during this time a partial indulgence for the same intention may be gained. The faithful who visit a cemetery and pray for the dead may gain a plenary indulgence applicable only to the Holy Souls on the usual conditions once per day from 1st – 8th November. The conditions mentioned above apply also for this.

 

Confessions:   There will be confessions after mass in St Brigids Church on Saturday 1st November and before Mass in St Josephs, Rantogue on Saturday 1st November.

 

Baptism:   We welcome into the Christian Community Hannah Bridget Keany.

 

Leitrim County Council Mass:  A Mass for the Deceased members and staff of Leitrim County Council will be held in St Marys Church, Carrick-on-Shannon on Monday 3rd November 2008 at 8pm.

 

Influenza Vaccine Campaign 2008:  Flu can affect anyone but annual vaccination can prevent complications or even save your life. If you are aged 65 years of age or are a younger person with a chronic disease such as heart disease, asthma problems, diabetes or kidney problems you are invited to contact your GP to receive this vaccination.
