7th November is the First Friday of the month. The visits to the
sick and housebound will be made at the usual times.
Confessions: There will be confessions after mass in St Brigids
Church on Saturday 8th November and before Mass in St Josephs, Rantogue
on Saturday 8th November.
Death:
Your prayers are requested for the happy repose of the souls of Angela
Gallagher, Drumshanbo who died last weekend and Terence McManus, Aughakillbrack
who died during the week. RIP
To gain
Indulgences for The Holy Souls: From 12 noon on the 1st
November until midnight on 2nd November all who have confessed,
received Holy Communion, and prayed for the Popes intentions (one our Father
and a Hail Mary, or any other prayer of ones choice) can gain one plenary
indulgence by visiting a Church or oratory, and there reciting one our Father
and the Apostles Creed. This indulgence is applicable only to the Souls of the
Departed. Confessions may be made at any time within the week preceding or the
week following 1st November. Holy Communion may be received on any
day from 1st November to 8th November. For every other
visit to a Church made during this time a partial indulgence for the same
intention may be gained. The faithful who visit a cemetery and pray for the
dead may gain a plenary indulgence applicable only to the Holy Souls on the
usual conditions once per day from 1st – 8th November.
The conditions mentioned above apply also for this.
Parish Pastoral Council: There will be a meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council
in the Sacristy of St Bridgids Church on Tuesday 11th November at 8:00pm
