Ulster Bank GAA Force
Ulster Bank GAA Force is a community volunteer initiative which helps local communities come together to improve their GAA club's facilities. Clubs are provided with financial support to give their club a 'make-over' and some months they ago ran a competition for all GAA Clubs in the country. We are delighted to announce that Kiltubrid GAA were contacted during the week to say that we had won the overall prize. We would like to thank most sincerely Ulster Bank for their generosity and we will keep you updated when we have the full details.
Fixtures & results
It was a week of good news for the club, our under 16 team have reached the county final. We emerged victorious in our semi-final encounter on Saturday morning against Aughnasheelin in Fenagh. It was an enthralling game throughout and Aughnasheelin pushed us all the way converting a penalty late on to leave only a 2 point margin at the final whistle. Congratulations to the entire panel of players and the management team of Pat McWeeney, Padraig Lynch and Finbarr Keaney. We now look forward to the county final which should take place in a week or two. Please check elsewhere for confirmation of the venue and date. Please do your best to come out and cheer this fine bunch of lads in the final. Training for all the under 16 panel will be notified by text during the week.
Our senior team take on Mohill in Division 1 league on Saturday evening next in Kiltubrid at 5 pm. Your support as always would be very much appreciated.
Community Games
On Sunday last the church gate collections were held in aid of the Community Games, we would like to thank everybody who contributed so generously to the collections and to all the collectors who helped out on the day, it was greatly appreciated.
