Results
Both the Division 3 & 5 teams had league wins over the weekend. On
Saturday evening in Drumshanbo our Division 3 team recorded a
scoreline of 3-10 to 3-8 against neighbours Allen Gaels. On Sunday
the division 5 team had a good win against St Osnatts at home in
Kiltubrid, final score there being 3-9 to 0-6.
On Friday evening our minors went down to a strong Fenagh team in the
9 aside league semi final.
Our under 8's & 10's played their first Blitz of the season in
Drumriley last Saturday morning. It was great to see all the children
out in their colours having fun, enjoying playing football, with many
stars of the future getting their first taste of action in the red and
green.
Fixtures
The Under 16 league commenced on Tuesday evening last with an away
fixture against Leitrim Gaels. Our next game is a home game Tuesday
1st May against Carrigallen at 7pm. Our senior team get back into
Division 1 league action on Saturday evening at 4.30pm with a home
fixture to Glencar Manorhamilton. While on Sunday our division 3 team
play Gortletteragh at 2pm at home. Please confirm date & times of all
these games.
Membership
We will be publishing a complete list of unpaid players membership
next week. So this is your final call for any remaining player young
or old to pay your membership to the registar Finbarr Keaney by this
weekend. It is highly important that all players have their membership
paid to be fully covered by the player injury scheme. If you are not
registered by the end of April and get injured please do not expect
to avail of the player insurance scheme.
Birthdays
We would like to wish Lisa Gill and April Gilmartin a very happy
birthday this week and also to our club man and minor trainer David Mc
Cormack, we wish you both many happy returns.
Kiltubrid Ladies
Well done to the Kiltubrid Ladies on a win in their first league game
against St Marys and we hope that is the start of things to come for
you for the year ahead.
