Fixtures & Results
Our U16s team were beaten by Allen Gaels on Friday evening last in the
league final playoff. Our Div 3 league game against Aughavas was
postponed. On Saturday 2nd our Division3 team take on Leitrim Gaels in
Leitrim at 7pm and on Monday we have a shield game against
Ballinaglera in Ballinaglera at 2pm.
Under 8s and U10s
There will be no under 8/10s blitz this Saturday morning because of
First Holy Communion, it will take place the following Saturday
morning in Ballinamore but training will take place as normal.
London v Leitrim
We would like to wish the Leitrim team good luck in their game in
London this weekend and we hope all going have a safe and enjoyable
trip.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Aine Tighe who once again done us proud by scoring
2-1 while playing with the All Stars team in Toronto this week. We
hope Aine enjoys her trip and well done.
Guess the score Leitrim v London
There are now cards available from players and local businesses to
guess the score for €2.00 in the Leitrim/London game on 3rd June in
Ruislip, with a prize of €100 for the correct score guess so we would
be very grateful of your support.
Community Games National Finals
The Community Games National Finals took place in Athlone last
weekend. Several children from the area participated in various events
and performed very well. Eadaoin Lee in U10 art, Barry Mc Weeney in
U12 Model Making and U12 Relay, Orla Mc Weeney in U14 Model Making
and U13 Relay, Iarlaith O Brien and Aidan Mc Cormack in U12 Relay,
Emer O Connor in U14 Relay and Fionn O Brien in U13 relay. Well done
to all.
Wedding Bells
Congratulations to David & Rachael Tighe who were married recently in
Scotland, we wish you many years of health and happiness for your
married life. Best wishes from all in the club.
Birthday
We would like to wish Clodagh Foley a very happy 21st birthday and
hope the celebrations went well, also celebrating this week is Carmel
Heeran, Happy birthday and best wishes from all in the club.
Cúl Camps:
Registration is now under way for this summer’s Kellogg’s GAA Cúl
Camps. Camps will be held during the month of July in
Carrick-on-Shannon, Manorhamilton, Ballinamore, Drumshanbo, Kinlough,
Mohill, Aughavas, Dromahair, Gortletteragh, Drumkeerin, Fenagh and
Leitrim Village. The cost of attending is as follows: 1st child €55,
2nd child €45 with all additional brothers or sisters only €40.
Applications can be made online at www.gaa.ie/kelloggsculcamps or
please return a written application form to Páirc Seán MacDiarmada,
Dublin Rd, Ck-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim. All children attending will
receive a full camp kit including bag.
Clothes
The are numerous pieces of clothing left down in the dressing rooms
from underage to senior, so please if you are missing anything please
go down and take them away because they will be disposed of in the
coming weeks.
An Tóstal
An Tóstal continues this weekend with a full line up of events with
the launch of the An Tóstal Book in the Ramada Hotel on Wednesday
night May 30th. On Friday June 1st a Local History Talk in Drumshanbo
Vocational School, on Saturday there is a free childrens Day in
Moorlands and that night the imfamous Barn Dance takes place starring
Jimmy Buckley, tickets €15 on sale from local businesses or from
Teresa on 086 8586019. After all that if your still able Sunday is
packed with free entertainment all day on the street with the parade
at 6pm followed by music on the street and fireworks that night so a
great weekend is in store for all.
