Fixtures and results
Congratulations to our Junior B team on winning the B Championship in Cloone on Friday night last. In a somewhat low scoring encounter we grabbed a decisive goal in the first half. This proved the key score that kept us in front throughout the game. The final score being 1-4 to 0-6. It was a good way to finish off the year and it was great to see a large number of our younger players getting their first taste of success at adult level and the few older heads also proved the saying that there is life left in the old dogs yet. Congratulations also to trainers Pat Tighe and Brian Foley on a job well done and to Johnny Mc Govern who was named man of the match.
Our seniors are fixed to play an important division 1 league fixture at home in Kiltubrid versus Aughawillian at 12.00 noon on Sunday next 6th October.
Birth
Congratulations to Emmett and Orla Lee on the birth of their beautiful new baby boy, Tiernan, we hope Emmetts shoulder is well enough for nappy changing. Congratulations also to Jackie and Marie Lee, the delighted grandparents on this their 31st grandchild!

Kiltubrid GAA would like to extend its sympathy to the Mc Keon Family Drumcong on the death of Packie Barry, Ennistymon Co Clare father of Geraldine McKeon and grandfather of our club senior players Christopher and Stephen McKeon. May he rest in peace.

Tour De Breffni Cycle
For any of our cyclists in the club, our neighbours in the Leitrim Cycle Club are running their annual Tour De Breffni Cycle charity event this coming Sunday morning. There are three routes which start from the Leitrim Gaels facility. The 100 km & 140 km routes start at 9 am while the shorter 60 km route around Lough Allen starts at 10 am. Registration is from 7:45 am. This is always a worthwile and well run event and there is a route to suit all levels and the views and surroundings alone are well worth the effort.
County final
Well done to our neighbours St Marys on a deserved victory in the county final last Sunday. Our other neighbours Mohill may feel a bit disappointed in defeat; however they had a fine win in the minor final beforehand as part of the St Manachans outfit.
